I'm on HubPages to make money!

Making money on HubPages
I've seen a few articles on HubPages about how to make money and some articles on why people join and if their joining was purely financially motivated. Yes, my reasons for joining are mostly financial, as I saw the job listing to join HubPages on Craigslist a few weeks ago. Since becoming a member I have really enjoyed writing and my time here has been rewarding. It turns out I have a lot to say. I've been able to come up with topics to write about almost every day. I don't want this to be a full time job, I am a landscape designer by trade, but if this works out to give me some side income, that's fine too.
One thing I wanted to mention was because my motivation for online writing may be mostly financial doesn't mean I'm a selfish, money hungry person. Yes, I need the money, but we all do. We need money to live, to survive, to pay for food and housing. Why is that an upsetting concept? Because we want money that makes us greedy? Well, who wouldn't be greedy, if money is literally what makes the world go around! We use money to buy goods and services because it is universally accepted. Most people don't barter for goods and services, except for maybe a few places in the world.
I'd like to give new members advice on how to make money fast, but I really don't have any. I've read the other hubs on how to generate traffic, what to write about, how to link to other hubs, etc. I think the best advice I can give is to write from the heart, and do your best, and if you keep at it, you should see some monetary gain.
Also, writing about how to make money online is a hot topic that generates traffic, so I'll try to include some relevant information. I've looked into other online writing sites such as, Bukisa (I didn't like it, and found it was hard to work with), Helium (I didn't like that one either, it looked too confusing for me), Squidoo (which looks very similar to HubPages, and I'm going to sign up for it soon), and Wizzley (which I found listed on a hub here, but haven't tried it out yet). There are many other sites, but these are just a few to get you started.
Grammar, spelling and punctuation
I'm not the best when it comes to grammar and punctuation, but I'm pretty good at spelling. I've noticed that some hubs have typos, so I think it's really important to check and re-check your hubs before you publish to make sure all the words are spelled accurately and the sentences are laid out grammatically correct, to the best of your ability. It's a good idea to do an internet search for grammar and punctuation if you're not sure how to use them. When you read an article that contains typos and poor spelling it can reflect badly on the author, so it pays to make sure your article is written in an articulate and smart manner.
Another thing to keep in mind, from what I've researched on HubPages, is to write high quality articles about 600 words long. It's okay if some hubs are shorter, but I think, the longer the hub the higher ranking it gets. This information is all in the Hubpages learning center, if you want to read more.
I'm here for the money
After saying all that, I really am writing to try to earn money. It's a good incentive, though, because I have been working hard at the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge and I like improving my newly found writing skills. This may sound petty, but I really like the little badges I earn for reaching certain milestones. Those symbols too, give me an incentive to get to the next benchmark. It's kind of like giving children gold stars when they do a good job. With that said, I suggest that newcomers keep researching, learning and exploring and you'll see that you can write a successful hub too!
